Job Description
- Plans, setup and evaluates the learning environment (physical, daily schedule, as well as social emotional environment) so as to meet the children’s developmental need both as a group and individually.
- Plans, prepares and implements holistic activities while being a good role model of positive values and character traits placing emphasis on the teaching, caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
- Regularly observes, assesses and compiles the development and progress of individual children into reports for parents.
- Takes initiative to develop and sustain good teacher-parent relationship by maintaining close parent contacts on a regular basis. Works with individual children’s families to understand their expectations and involve them in setting goals for the children.
- Ensures open and positive communication with parents through letters, newsletters, etc.
- Attends, shares information and participates in staff meetings in order to discuss the implementation of the overall programme, pool ideas and resources, reinforce competence and boost one another’s confidence.
