Job Overview: Leading the regional development team in Asia/Pacific/Middle East for a US based nonprofit seeking to promote giving to the region; Growing the portfolio of Asian, Pacific and Middle Eastern nonprofit partners, and supporting US corporate donors interested in the region.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Lead regional development team for Asia, Pacific and Middle East
· Manage a team working on promoting services in the region
· Support strategy and growth for US individual/foundation donors with Asia/Pacific/Middle East interest
· Lead strategy and growth for creating “American Friends Funds” for Asia nonprofits
· Relationship lead for Asia-focused funds
· Support corporate and business development team for regional questions; including for Donor Advised Funds, Corporate Plus service.
· Co-lead Spotlighting Social Innovators program, and regional events in Asia
· Lead disaster relief efforts in Asia/Pacific/Middle East
Qualifications:
· Master’s degree required, with a focus on international development or public policy
· 7-10 years professional experience in the philanthropic/nonprofit sector
· English proficiency required; Asian language (nonspecific) proficiency required;
· Extensive international experience; including time spent living in the United States with familiarity of US philanthropic culture
· Expert knowledge of US corporate philanthropy mechanisms
· Proven leadership experience, including successfully working as part of a team
· Expert knowledge of global philanthropic networks, and experience positioning organizations as key players
· Proven experience building and maintaining grantee networks
