Position: AWS & Azure Senior Solutions Architect
Summary:
As a Senior Solutions Architect specializing in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing complex cloud solutions for our organization. Your expertise in both AWS and Azure will be instrumental in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our multi-cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Multi-Cloud Architecture Design: Develop and implement multi-cloud architectures that leverage both AWS and Azure to meet the organization's business objectives. Ensure the seamless integration of services between the two platforms.
- Solution Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical cloud solutions. Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and compliance standards across both AWS and Azure.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring the successful implementation of multi-cloud solutions. Mentor and coach junior architects and engineers.
- Cost Optimization: Optimize cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining high performance. Monitor and control cloud expenses in both platforms.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices, identity and access management, and compliance standards in multi-cloud environments. Conduct security assessments and audits.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and improve the performance of multi-cloud systems. Implement scaling strategies to handle variable workloads in both AWS and Azure.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve complex technical issues in AWS and Azure environments, collaborating with support teams as needed.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of multi- cloud architectures, configurations, and best practices.
- Stay Current: Stay up-to-date with AWS and Azure services, trends, and best practices to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is preferred. AWS and Azure certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
- Experience: 7+- years of experience in cloud architecture, with a strong focus on both AWS and Azure. Proven experience in designing and implementing large- scale multi-cloud solutions.
- AWS and Azure Expertise: n-depth knowledge of AWS and Azure services, including but not limited to EC2 & S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, Azure VMs, Azure Storage, Azure AD, and Azure Networking.
- Multi-Cloud Architecture Skills: Proficiency in designing and implementing cloud-native and hybrid multi-cloud architectures.
- Security and Compliance: Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, identity management, and compliance standards (e.g. HIPAA, GDPR) in both AWS and Azure.
- Automation: Experience with infrastructure as code (IAC) and automation tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. Proficiency in Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates is a plus.
- Scripting and Programming: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash) and programming languages (e.g. Java, .NET) is advantageous.
- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex technical challenges.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills to lead technical teams and initiatives.
