Commercial Lead - Vaccines Asia-JPAC Region

Job Purpose:

  • Lead the commercial strategy to steer Sanofi Vaccines roadmap in Asia-JPAC
  • Drive the go-to-market transformation, enhance engagement with external stakeholders and innovate in customer-solutions
  • Drive performance and resources allocation exercises with an enterprise, One Sanofi, approach and support strategic planning
  • Equip Leaders and teams in Asia-JPAC with robust and externally-focused insights to make better informed prioritization and support the continuous transformation
  • Drive strategic initiatives within the Vaccines GBUs.

Key Results & Accountabilities:

1. Lead Business and Commercial strategy

  • Continuous assessment of portfolio, market trends and performance to develop strategy for accelerating growth and tapping into opportunities
  • Support planning and uptake of new launches
  • Shape and steer Sanofi Roadmap through orchestrating key transformational changes needed to achieve goals
  • Drive commercial strategy and execution across Asia-JPAC countries
  • Work in collaboration with Trade teams when relevant

2. Drive go-to-market transformation

  • Drive Go-To-Market strategy and execution with country teams. Define growth models focused on must-win choices
  • Define optimal operating models to fuel growth of key brands
  • Reinforce digital transformation, Omnichannel Engagement (OCE) excellence for optimal customers journeys and impact
  • Drive transformation and development of the customer facing teams
  • Orchestrate and execute above activities leveraging Sanofi BO&S and digitals tools and expertise

3. Drive performance, resources allocation exercises and strategic planning

  • Work with BO&S and country teams to assess performance and shape plans of action for kicking the growth curve
  • Prioritize investments behind growth platforms
  • Work hand in hand with the BO&S and Digital teams in countries to support data-driven decision making, tracking and precision marketing approaches
  • Lead strategic planning exercises in collaboration with Finance, Business Operations and country teams

4 . Innovate in Customer Solutions

  • Innovate in solutions for optimal customers’ experience with Sanofi Vaccines for prescribers, vaccinators, patients in terms of engagement and adoption journey
  • Support Vaccine Coverage Rate – VCR ramp up through new models and channels (Pharmacy Based Immunization, e-commerce, partnerships….)


In addition to the above, Strategy and Commercial Lead is responsible for:


Maintaining Compliance

  • Abide by the requirements of the internal Code of Ethics including but not restricted to maintaining high professional standards of conduct in line with the Company procedure with a duty of care to the reputation of the Company

Ethical Leadership

  • Takes personal accountability to use personal experience and knowledge, as well as the training and tools provided by Sanofi, to maintain a good knowledge and understanding of all ethics and governance relevant to the role (Sanofi Policies and Procedures and any relevant legal requirements) and demonstrate personal leadership in applying these to all work undertaken.
  • Escalates any decisions, or seek the support of colleagues or management if personal knowledge and understanding is not at the level required to carry out any part of the role

Environmental and Safety Leadership

To care for his/her own safety and wellbeing and the safety of others, and to co-operate with the company to ensure a safe place of work. Employees are therefore expected to:

  • Support and conform to Company safety rules and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy working environment
  • Report any accident, incident or near miss, whether it be of personal injury or property damage
  • Assist in the investigation of accidents with the objective of introducing measures to prevent recurrence
  • Thoroughly read all safety documentation issues by the Company and comply with its requirements. Escalate any doubts or uncertainties to their supervisor and/or manager.

Key Working Relationships:

Internally - Cross Functional Collaboration with:

  • Regional Function Heads (Finance, P&C, Medical, Business Operations, ..)
  • Country GMs
  • Global teams in Vaccines (F&PS, Franchises, Commercial Excellence, Medical, E&BI, Legal, etc)
  • Teams cross GBUs
  • BO&S, Digital, OCE and TRM teams
  • Global Function Heads/Team (e.g. Transformation Office, New Business Models)

Externally - Would be expected to be involved with:

  • External partners and suppliers
  • Start-ups, tech hubs and etc.

About You

Education

  • Business or scientific background, Bachelor degree, MBA is a plu

Required knowledge and/or experience

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in business or commercial roles
  • Experience in sales and marketing is a plus
  • Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Leadership, team spirit, persuasiveness & influence, highly collaborative with all cross functional partners
  • Strong drive, sense of ownership, solution and impact oriented
  • Capacity to work in a volatile, fast-paced environment

Language skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and spoken) in English.

Others:

  • Willing to travel approximately 25% of time across the region
