Job Description
As a Test EFA Technician at Micron Technology, you will be responsible for the investigation through EFA (Electrical Failure Analysis) and PFA (Physical Failure Analysis), as well as disposition of maverick lots triggered by the Statistical Bin Limit (SBL) System. You will also collaborate with Product Engineering. Test Solutions Engineering, Assembly, manufacturing and Test Engineering teams to identify dispositions for new fail signatures, issue root causes, and to support continuous improvement projects to reduce SBL fail rates.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Adhere to and Promote Safety
- Identify and promptly report hazards
- Follow safety procedures and area work rules including appropriate roper PPE, lockout and chemical safety.
- Operate and maintain equipment and tools within manufacturers and company guidelines.
- Use proper lifting techniques and work in an ergonomically correct manner.
Develop EFA skill to identify root cause and understand failure mechanism
- Maintain knowledge of EFA for all product technologies
- Support site EFA activities
- Provide second level EFA advice to ASM OS failure
- Evaluate and resolve performance issues
- Drive initiatives to improve performance to plan
Handle Maverick Lot Dispositions in SBL System and Manage Deviations
- Extract and analyze test data
- Perform and follow up on failure analysis (EFA & PFA)
- Recommend and communicate lot dispositions
- Maintain Test process, equipment, systems, and product knowledge
- Feedback and document deviation on quality management system
Communicate information to appropriate personnel
- Provide timely and accurate communication between Equipment Support, Engineering, and Production
- Connect with manufacturing, engineering and product team to relay problems, changes, or request information as needed
- Provide Give feedback on observations and data to the engineering group to help resolve chronic problems or experiments
- Respond quickly and positively to all internal and external customers
Continuous Improvement Initiatives
- Provide effective engineering solutions in reducing SBL triggers and optimization of SBL disposition for EFA work efficiency
- Assist engineer on improvement initiatives for overall test EFA efficiency and effectiveness
- Suggest and support labor productivity improvement projects.
- Propose and implement improvement initiatives to desired results
Requirements:
- Diploma in Electrical & Electronics/Computer engineering or relevant.
- Working experience in test failure analysis would be an advantage.
- Ability to work on 12-hours rotating shift.
- Understand and able to communicate in English with good interpersonal skills in building positive working relationship.
