We are looking for a skilled and motivated Windows Server/Compute Engineer to join our clients IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows Server administration, a deep understanding of Microsoft technologies, worked in a server virtualized environment and has the ability to design, implement, and manage Windows-based server environments. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our server infrastructure.
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server environments, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Manage infrastructure projects for upgrading platforms or introducing new technologies and platforms to the environment.
- Deploy and manage virtualization solutions, with a focus on Hyper-V.
- Create and administer virtual machines, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
- Configure backup and recovery systems and data.
- Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Virtualized Server Support Engineer or similar role.
- Cluster administration, management, and maintenance of clustered computing environments
- Understanding of WAN networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions for virtualized environments.
- Familiarity with security best practices and implementation in virtualized environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
