On behalf of the hiring company, we are looking for a suitable candidate to join them as Senior WSH Officer.
Responsibilities
- Implement a comprehensive Site Safety Management System to manage risks and reduce accidents
- Implementation of workplace safety, health, and environment programs and initiatives
- Enforcement of safety standards following the Workplace Safety and Health Act
- Conducting training programs on workplace safety and health and inspections to ensure that all staff and/or subcontractors onsite abide by policies and standards
- Ensure strict compliance with procedures in the statutory workplace, safety, health & environment requirements at sites and required premises
- Implementation of an effective safety management system, preventive measures as well and risk assessment to minimize accidents at the assigned workplace/site
- Preparation and/or submission of safety reports and necessary audits
- Assist the company in safety-related certifications and awareness such as safety audits, meetings, and executive of safety programs
- Work with the assistance of your safety team of WSH coordinators and supervisors at the project site
- Keeping up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes in safety guidelines
- Any other ad hoc duties assigned from time to time
Requirements:
- Registered WSH Officer/Safety Officer with MOM for minimum of 10 years
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in WSH for building/construction industry
- Possess a minimum Diploma in Environment, Health and Safety Management or related field
- Excellent people management skills and good interpersonal skills
- Proven team leading/management experience
