As a Securities Based Lending Associate, you will work closely with Client Advisors to deliver excellent client service for all securities-based lending requests for clients of the Private Bank's Ultra High Net Worth market teams. You will leverage your deep understanding of credit underwriting and analysis to provide a sound credit solution for our clients. In addition, you will contribute as the subject matter expert to strategic initiatives. Job Responsibilities
• Primary point of contact for assigned portfolio with close interaction with Client Advisors to deliver the best credit product solution with a sound credit structure
• Underwrite new credit and review annual review proposals for credit approval in compliance to prevailing credit policies as well as regulatory and jurisdictional requirements
• Analyze collateral pool and grade appropriately per credit policy, including ability to compare each transaction to credit policy in order to flag any credit exceptions or non-standard terms for review
• Maintain a consistently high level of awareness around any potential credit issues. Proactively resolve exceptions, including but not limited to margin call situations, credit exceptions and documentation exceptions
• Prepare/Review client credit documentation including but not limited to Pledge Security Agreements, Credit Facility Agreements, authority forms, registration
• Assist in strategic initiatives
• Coach and mentor junior team members
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• At least 4 years’ of Private Banking credit risk and/or lending experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Economics or other related disciplines
• Knowledge and/or experience of underwriting, lending value analysis, KYC and cross border issues
• Teamwork ethic and focus; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• High level analytical skills - able to use qualitative and quantitative tools to analyze complex financial situations
• Strong communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills
• High level of attention to details in order to ensure all work adheres to credit policy
