Job Description

- Position Title: Deputy Manager (Operations)
- Working Location: Central
- Working Hours: 5 days, Monday to Friday (9.30 AM – 6 PM)
- Salary Package: Basic Salary up to $9,000 + AWS + Bonus
- Duration: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and co-ordinate vessel schedule requirements and intended activities
- Prepare shipping documentation in an accurate and timely manner
- Co-ordinating operations activities, liaise with suppliers, customers to ensure smooth delivery of shipments
- To ensure the smooth facilitation and processing of customer’s shipments within required Standard Operating Procedures and time frames without supervision.
- To provide full customer service support to allocated account.
- Complete all required file administration including documentation, billing, supplier invoices.
- Communicate with management regarding activities and significant issues related to order management and customer service.
- Prepare sales and purchase contract based on confirmed offer, negotiate the contract terms with the seller / buyer to get the contract signed
- Follow the LC issuing after the contract is signed, handle and manage all necessary documents for LC application and bank negotiation independently
- Computation and settlement of laytime with supplier/buyer of bulk carrier shipments.
- Liaise with accounts department for processing of bill payments, bank advice, purchase and sales or other invoice/supporting documents etc
- Liaise with Insurance Brokers for the Marine Insurance and take over insurance policy
- Follow up with origin for the monthly w/house stock report for submission to Insurance Broker.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or Business Management, or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience with adequate knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations strategy management.
- Must have prior experience in agricultural products such as fertilizers, etc.
- Experience in the strategic planning and transportation of products, ensuring that goods are delivered in a good state and on time.
- Experience in negotiating and working with freight forwarders, overseas factories and suppliers
