Duties/Responsibilities
Manage overall Safety and Environmental Functions
- Develop, implement and be responsible for the Company’s OSHA Policy and Guidelines such that to meet all MOM and Safety Regulatory requirements
- Develop, organize and conduct safety audits for to ensure safety compliance
- Accountable and reports to Top Management on all OSHA issues
- Develop and implement Safety and Environment System audit procedures and conduct periodic audits
- Set up and manage the Corporate Safety Department with clear and proper reporting functions with qualified safety personals
- Responsible for developing safety training for all staff
- Provide support to Fabrication, Engineering and Operations Departments on matters concerning to with Health and Safety
- Participates in all the OSHA, Environmental & GGBS audits
- Handle all safety and security risk assessment issues
Develop new safety plans and execute them according to legal and organizational guidelines
- Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to MOM and other regulatory guidelines
- Review and enforce policies that create a safe workplace environment for employees and clients
- Evaluate current procedures and policies in addition to workplace facilities to identify risks and adherence to legal requirements
- Ensures, in accordance with the corporate guidelines, the implementation, updating, review and auditing of the Company OSHA Systems.
- Conducts safety audits both internal and externally
WSH Activities
- Responsible and to handle all accident / safety incidents investigation.
- Carries out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans.
- Provides technical support to Senior Management on any safety related subjects.
- Carries out safety and security audits on Sub-contractors.
- Liaises between Clients on safety related issues.
- Participates in projects site meetings when required
- Performs Risk Assessment.
- Provides Safety support and advice, including supervision on preparation of safety plans and procedures
- Support General Liability, Safety, and/or Worker's Compensation with initiatives, projects, or other assigned work
Prepare and conduct trainings for health and safety matters to prevent accidents and improve workplace productivity
- Prepare and enforce policies to establish a company culture of health and safety
- Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
- Build and train a competent WSH & Environmental team
