As an Endpoint Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the integrity, security, and optimization of endpoint devices within our organization. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the functionality and security of our endpoint infrastructure, contributing to the overall stability of our systems.
Responsibilities:
- Endpoint Management: Administer and oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of endpoint devices such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Security Implementation: Implement and maintain security protocols, including antivirus, encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems across all endpoints to ensure protection against cyber threats.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for endpoint-related issues, collaborating with teams to address hardware, software, and network problems.
- Policy Development: Contribute to the creation and enforcement of endpoint security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Endpoint Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize endpoint performance to enhance efficiency and user experience while maintaining security standards.
- Patch Management: Manage and oversee endpoint patching and updates, ensuring timely and effective implementation to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of endpoint configurations, incidents, and resolutions. Generate regular reports on endpoint security status and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience (X years) working in endpoint management, security administration, or a related IT field.
- Strong understanding of endpoint security solutions, including antivirus software, encryption methods, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Proficiency in endpoint troubleshooting and support, with hands-on experience in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Familiarity with patch management tools and strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Endpoint Protection Professional (CEPP), or equivalent is advantageous.
This role is on an initial contract basis of 12 months.
