Regional Facility Operations and Security Manager, APAC MEA

Reporting to Head of RES APAC MEA, the Regional Facility Operations and Security Manager for Asia Pacific & Middle East, Africa plays an important role in managing all facility operation activities across the region for Munich Re Offices via a network of resources and ensuring proper systems and processes are in place in order to protect Munich Re's employees, assets, and information around the world.


Related responsibilities includes understanding business needs and stakeholder management. Develop strategies for regional facility operations, leveraging service and operation contracts to deliver best-in-class office environment that is effectively and efficiently operated to provide a productive work place that furthers the business goals of the company at large, in line with our Together@Work global strategy


Additionally, this role implements globally aligned regional security, BCM and ESG strategies, concepts and guidelines and seek to continuously improve the maturity level to build an effective and efficient security environment.


Your Job:

  • Review, implement and manage regional physical security concepts/projects in alignment with global standard
  • Govern and Consult on all regional projects in regards to physical security requirements (e.g. one roof concept) and plan, adapt and operate Outsourcing Model of physical security
  • Further development of regional security organization within the region, include improving the overall regional security awareness
  • Ensuring that regional security trainings (including travel) and handling security incidents, complying with global standards for Munich Re
  • Own regional security management in all kinds of security issues
  • Review and streamline regional and local BCM/Crisis Management organization including implementation of relevant processes and EMT test/exercises
  • Management of all building related fixed assets, security / life-safety, food services, conference services, mail services, maintenance, and property management across the region for Munich Re Offices
  • Collaborate with regional network of office managers across the region to enhance and optimize facility operations inclusive of simple construction/renovation projects, capital replacements, requirements and specifications characterizing Munich Re workplaces for the future
  • Support all facility operation related contract negotiations, risk management reviews. Ensuring compliance with state, local and federal regulations and laws
  • Determine Facility related outsourced service needs/requirements and develop a regional strategy to oversee the contracting for all significant out-sourced operations and service delivery management including but not limited to maintenance, housekeeping, grounds, food services and security
  • Ensure global ESG strategy alignment and support roll out within the region, as well as support regional ESG reporting requirement


Your Profile

  • At least 8+ years of relevant experience in facility management, Security Management role with HSE and BCM topic experience a plus
  • Exposure to and experience in humanitarian field operations a plus
  • Solid technical acumen and professional skills and knowledge in areas of functional responsibility to conduct and manage everyday business operations and generate innovative solutions. Including but not limited to Fire, Security and Building systems, Constructions, Electrical, Plumbing and IT Networks Infrastructures.
  • Basic knowledge in Sustainability arena
  • Expertise in project and program management
  • High degree of independence, initiative and commitment
  • Analytical mindset with strong planning, organization, prioritization and problem solving acumen
  • Analytical thinking, structured working method and fast comprehension skills
  • High problem-solving competence
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to manage through crisis events, working under pressure, directing operational recovery activities and managing facilities & life safety at recovery site
  • Relevant experience in APAC and MEA region
  • Willingness to travel
