AVP, Azure Data Engineer (Permanent)
Responsibilities:
- Develop best practices including reusable code, libraries, patterns, and consumable frameworks for cloud-based data warehousing and ETL.
- Maintain best practice standards for the development or cloud-based data warehouse solutioning including naming standards.
- Assure that data is cleansed, mapped, transformed, and otherwise optimised for storage and use according to business and technical requirements
- Automate tasks and deploy production standard code (with unit testing, continuous integration, versioning etc.)
- Load transformed data into storage and reporting structures in destinations including data warehouse, high speed indexes, real-time reporting systems and analytics applications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent with min. 10 years of experience in Data Warehousing, Data Analytics, Realtime data integration or Business Intelligence
- Experience building and optimising ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
- Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets
- Experience in Azure database platforms e.g., Azure SQL database, Azure Databricks, Azure data Lake Gen2
- Experience in Azure data integration tools e.g., Azure Synapse, Azure Data factory,
- Experience in Programming language: R & Python
- Possess architectural sense in connecting data sources, data visualization, structured and unstructured data.
- Experience in machine learning and predictive analytics
