Job Description & Requirements
- To execute all works assigned including addition and alteration( A&A) work in accordance with the guidelines, polices and procedures.
- Ensure the following policies & procedures are implemented and maintained:
- Emergency & Safety program
- Preventive maintenance program
- Work request program
- Energy conservation program
- Training program
- Provide supervision and guidance and on the job training to associates and to follow up on work progress to ensure that it is properly carried out and completed on time with acceptable quality. Constantly review & inspect completed works (preventive and work request) for any deficiencies that need to be follow up for accuracy and completeness.
- Familiarize with and to apply all relevant local authorities’ requirements and codes of practices in the course of engineering works.
- Spot check on the detailed works in the work orders and ensure it is execute in a practical and economical way.
- Ensure the work request and preventive maintenance programs are managed and maintained properly with accurate compilation of record / document and completed satisfaction.
- Ensure that operational features are performed in accordance with the design intent of the facility with strict regard of safety and energy conservation.
- Coordinate and communicate engineering work activities with other departments concerning identification of repair and maintenance problems and requirements, satisfaction with work in progress, and work completed.
- Conduct on the job training (OJT) for technicians.
- Responsible for Engineering store management.
- Develop work plan prior to the intended execution of work, considering all possible disruption that could cause to the guests and other operating departments, manpower and materials availability, in order to minimize adverse impact to the operation.
- Trouble shoot and make recommendation for remedial action for system deficiencies.
- Maintain a good inventory of all tools, materials and parts to minimize delays and down time. In addition, coordinate with admin assistant or purchasing department for the sourcing of parts, materials and contract services.
- Prepare all preventive maintenance schedule for maintenance technicians.
- Review daily work logs for incomplete works follow up and check daily water treatment result, and coordinate with housekeeping for checking of VIP rooms and front office for guest rooms needed for Ken Fix It program.
- Maintain and up to date files of technical manuals, parts list, drawings, equipment list of all equipment and plants etc.
