Compounding / Laboratory Technician

. To pack finished goods and raw material at the Fragrance, Cosmetic Ingredient and Oral Care plants at
Symrise, Scent & Care Division.
2. The training requirements for the new contract technician will be as follows:
2.1.To be competent to pack finished goods from less than 1000-litre mobile vessels into 1-, 5-, 10-, 25-
and 200-kg drums (approx. 3 weeks of OJT).
2.2.To be competent to pack finished goods from 3000-litre fixed tanks into 25- or 200-kg drums, using
mechanical pumps, and including doing tank cleaning using automated CIP (Cleaning-in-place)
process after packing (approx. 3 weeks of OJT).
2.3.To be competent to pack finished goods from 10000-litre fixed tanks into 25- or 200-kg drums using
diaphragm pumps, and including doing tank cleaning using automated CIP (Cleaning-in-place)
process (approx. 2 weeks of OJT).
2.4.During the training period and after acquiring the skills sets, the contract technician can be rotated
among the Fragrance, Cosmetic Ingredient and Oral Care plants for training.
2.5.Compounding at Fragrance, Oral Care and Cosmetic Ingredient plants (approx. 10 weeks of OJT).
3. During the training period, the contract technician will be paired up with a senior technician for OJT
(On-the-job) training on a buddy system. After the senior technician or Supervisor has certified that the
new technician is competent to work on his own, then the new contract technician will work solo under
the supervision of his work buddy.
