Position Overview:

Commodities MNC is seeking for multiple Coal Trader. The Coal Trader is responsible for facilitating the buying and selling of coal as a commodity, ensuring efficient and profitable transactions within the APAC market, especially the Philippines, South Korea, China, and Japan.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor global market trends, including supply, demand, pricing, and regulatory changes.
  • Negotiate prices, contracts, and terms with suppliers and buyers to ensure favorable terms for the company.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with producers, suppliers, and consumers to facilitate smooth transactions.
  • Manage the logistics of transportation, including shipping, storage, and delivery to ensure timely and efficient movement.
  • Analyze and manage risks associated, including market volatility, geopolitical factors, and regulatory changes.
  • Monitor financial aspects of trading transactions, including costs, pricing, and profit margins.
  • Draft, review, and execute contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry news, technological advancements, and environmental regulations that could impact the trading market.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions, contracts, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Work closely with internal teams, such as logistics, finance, and legal, to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications:

  • Past experience in related field, demonstrating a deep understanding of markets, supply chains, and trading strategies.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers, buyers, and other stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze market trends, data, and financial information.
  • Problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations, shipping logistics, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for data analysis, communication, and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage complex transactions and contracts.
  • Ethical conduct and compliance with legal and industry standards.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make time-sensitive decisions.
