Our Client, one of the world’s biggest IT Infrastructure service provider and consultancy that provide designs, builds, manages, and develops large-scale information systems, with a comprehensive set of Technology Services around hybrid cloud solutions, business resiliency, network services for IT transformation, Applications, Data, AI, and an open integration platform delivery IT solutions. Due to their expanding project size, they are hiring experts in the focus of WebSphere.


Looking for professional WebSphere Administrators with no less than 3 years of experience in this domain up to 8 years of experience.


Responsibilities:

  • Installation of WAS/HIS, Development, Production Support, Troubleshooting various issues pertaining to:
  • Heap Dump/Java core Analysers,
  • Configuration issues,
  • logs analysis
  • Installation, configurations of WAS on versions 9.x, 8.x, 7.x, 9.x, 9.0.5x, 8.5.5.x
  • Providing support for the versions 9.x, Bx, 7.x.

Configuration of SSL between different layers of middleware and WAS such as:

  • Application
  • Webserver,
  • Web browser,
  • Between two clusters,
  • Dynamic outbound SSL configurations

• Configuration of SSO (Single-Sign-On) using Kerberos for multiple apps

• Integration of LDAP with WAS along with SSL

• Integration with WebSphere MQ with WAS along with SSL

• Configuration of new JDBC resources involving JDBC providers, data sources for Oracle, DB2 etc.

• Workload management and failover capabilities with WAS cluster and IHS including WAS Plugin.

• Patching on WAS. IHS, Plugin regularly etc.. and supported the Shift single handled.

• Perform Root Cause Analysis & troubleshooting in the live environment, working on problem tickets for the same matter.

• Adhere to strict Service Level Agreements for incidents to provide solutions to clients.

• Building the Environment with the client timelines and handing over to the Support team, etc

• Worked closely with other supporting teams to resolve issues such as:

  • Midrange Teams
  • Network Teams,
  • LB teams, etc

• Provide the following training and or sharing for new team members, Project matter escalation topics and or for Point of Contact Management meeting:

  • Knowledge sessions
  • Brown Bag sessions
  • Internal Tools Set up

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • With a minimum of 3 years of experience as a WebSphere administrator or in this domain up to 8 years of experience.
  • Certification: IBM WebSphere Certified Professional
  • Middleware: WebLogic/WebSphere Applications Server 6x, 7x, 8.5, 9.x, 9.0.5.x, Apache, LDAP Integration
  • OS: UNIX, AIX, LINUX, Win XP, Win Vista, Win 9s, NT
  • Scripting: Shell script, Perl script
  • Web Tech: Apache, IBM HTTP Server,
  • DB RDBMS: IBM DB2, Oracle Database Integration.
  • UNIX Tools: Putty, SSH, Telnet, FTP
  • Ticketing Tool: HP- Peregrine, OTRS, RMS, Service Now (SNOW), BMC Remedy
  • Exposure: To Large and Major Enterprise Environments | Banking/Financial Environment
  • Experience working on Project from Scratch to Live
