Technical Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager

Position Overview: As the Technical Purchasing and supply chain Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the procurement process for technical and marine-related materials. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services required for our marine service and repair operations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Sourcing:
    • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for technical and marine-related materials.
    • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
    • Maintaining and Managing complete database of the Procurement in all the related repair segment
  2. Supplier Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
    • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to secure favorable agreements for the company.
    • Managing vendor registration process and inclusion
  3. Material Procurement:
    • Coordinate the procurement of technical materials, spare parts, and equipment required for marine service and repair projects.
    • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to meet operational demands.
  4. Cost Management:
    • Analyze market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
    • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or operational efficiency.
  5. Quality Assurance:
    • Work closely with the operation team to ensure that purchased materials meet or exceed the required standards.
    • Implement processes for the inspection and testing of received goods.
  6. Compliance, Documentation and reporting :
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
    • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier performance evaluations.
    • Maintain and a submit official procurement report for all purchase and vendor related activities.
  7. Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as Operations and Maintenance, to understand their technical requirements and align procurement activities accordingly.
