Position Overview: As the Technical Purchasing and supply chain Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the procurement process for technical and marine-related materials. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services required for our marine service and repair operations.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for technical and marine-related materials.
- Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
- Maintaining and Managing complete database of the Procurement in all the related repair segment
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to secure favorable agreements for the company.
- Managing vendor registration process and inclusion
- Material Procurement:
- Coordinate the procurement of technical materials, spare parts, and equipment required for marine service and repair projects.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to meet operational demands.
- Cost Management:
- Analyze market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or operational efficiency.
- Quality Assurance:
- Work closely with the operation team to ensure that purchased materials meet or exceed the required standards.
- Implement processes for the inspection and testing of received goods.
- Compliance, Documentation and reporting :
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier performance evaluations.
- Maintain and a submit official procurement report for all purchase and vendor related activities.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Operations and Maintenance, to understand their technical requirements and align procurement activities accordingly.
