Work Location: Woodlands
Contract Period 1 April 2024 ( 2 years)
Work Hours: 8.00am to 5.30pm or 8.00 to 6.00pm
Manage and execute disciplinary and / or security concerns and issues which include but are not limited to:
- Investigating student-related disciplinary infractions as and when required.
- Working closely with students to help them understand their mistakes, and take responsibility for their actions
- Case Management
- Present findings to the School SDC or any other forums as decided by RP.
- Ensuring that sanctions meted to students are completed
- Following up with student offenders through counselling, and obtaining feedback on student progress from academic staff
- Referring students to other internal and/or external agencies for further assistance (if required)
- Supporting both the School SDC and the School SDC (or any other forums as decided by the school), and School staff in student-related discipline/emergency situations on campus
Work closely with School to assist in the review of all discipline related procedures/programmes such as:
- Reviewing existing policies and their effectiveness
- Working together on discipline systems to better manage cases, generate data and increase holistic support of students
- Proposing & adopting preventive measures and programmes
Manage and collate disciplinary statistics & present findings to School Management and administrative duties. It also includes coordinating:
- Bi-weekly (or otherwise as decided by School) disciplinary hearings for the School SDC or any other forums as decided by School and minute taking
- Database management & input of student records via School IT System
- Drafting letters to students and Next of Kin (N.O.K) on disciplinary matters.
- Manning of Discipline mailbox and any form of communication tools assigned by the School
- Ad-hoc patrol around the campus.
Work closely with School to coordinate School’s Crisis Management operations (e.g. Crisis Management Exercise, Community Engagement Programme)
- Act as School’s liaison officer to external agencies such as CNB, NParks, SPF, SCDF & NEA.
Job Requirement :
Experience as Ex-Singapore Police Force (SPF), Prisons or Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) Officer will be an advantage
- Prior experience working in a similar capacity in education institutions will be an advantage
- Well-groomed and able to converse well in English
- Medically and physically fit (Contractor shall provide proof of medical assessment if required by RP)
- Must have at least 1 year experience in investigation operations.
- Competent in Microsoft Office, and willing to learn other IT skills
- Willing to work with youth
- Have valid standard first-aid certification with CPR-AED prior to commencement of work (please submit certification in tender offer for verification)
- Prior experience in mentoring students/youth is preferred
- Must have at least 1 year experience in Case Management work with students.
- Relevant qualification and/or experience in the field of counselling (minimally para-counsellor) will be an advantage
