About the job:
- Implements software project upgrade of current custody transfer flow metering and blending and transfer control systems install base.
- Visits customer installation for site survey and provide a comprehensive recommendation.
- Generates configuration, programming, and testing of HMI, PLCs, Server, multiplexors, Delta V, Flow Computers, Preset, Batch Controller, and other applicable equipment.
- Prepares engineering documents (Functional Design Specification, Test Procedures & I/O Address List, Modbus List, Graphics Display, etc).
- Gathers feedback for development/application programming of project software for Flow Computer, Supervisory Computer, PLC, etc.
- Reviews Engineering Documents such as System Architecture, Wiring Drawings (which generated by vendors) etc.
- Reviews customer specifications and provide solutions to customer’s technical needs.
- Attends to customer meeting and lead in technical clarification and provide timely resolution.
- Performs Pre-FAT / FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), Installation, Site acceptance Test & Commissioning.
- Replicates customer-installed software control system with a demo unit to provide solution to customer issues at site.
- Provides support to customers via phone call, email and remote access application.
- Coordinates with other engineers/designer/project manager for efficient project execution to meet/exceed customer’s requirement, project schedule & quality standard.
About you:
- Degree in Instrumentation / Software / Electronics Engineering and 8+ years of related experience or Diploma in Instrumentation / Software / Electronics Technology and related experience in instrumentation and flow metering for the Oil & Gas / Petroleum industry.
- With more than 5 years of work experience in the development/programming of Industrial Automation/Process Control software and advanced software tools.
- In-depth development experience in SCADA software, e.g. DeltaV, iFix, PCS, WinCC, Wonderware Intouch.
- Proven experience in software development in Siemens/Allen Bradley/Schneider PLC.
- Proficiency in network communication protocols such as TCP/IP, OPC, Modbus, etc.
- Proficiency in Software design and development for custody transfer and B&T solution.
- Experience handling projects, configuration, and programming Flow Computers, HMI, and PLCs.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards applicable to flow measurement systems & custody transfer systems.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, result-driven and influencing skills to efficiently communicate and advocate service solutions to customers.
