We are looking for a sustainability associate with good understanding of Life Cycle Assessment and Product Carbon Footprint. With your expertise on Life Cycle Assessment and Greenhouse Gasses topics, you will support the sustainability team in challenging LCA and GHG projects contributing to the development of the global sustainability program.
You will help building and ramping up services that support the transition of the companies towards a Circular Economy for their products and services being part of a team of specialists in the execution of these services.
This individual will be experiencing a fast-learning curve environment and should have experience of working with large quantities of data and able to synthesis and interpret data into meaningful and material conclusions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop into assessing/auditing in sustainability projects with a focus on life cycle assessment and product carbon footprint studies for a variety of industries and customers.
- Support the sustainability team in addressing requests from the market, taking part to the full process since the pre-engagement stage contributing to the growing business of product sustainability for ASEAN.
- Supporting the sustainability team in establishing and maintaining the relevant sustainability technical knowledge by forging strong relationships with internal and external experts, academic and research institutions, technical/scientific institutions, industrial associations, and regulatory authorities (government agencies, pilot customers).
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or MSc in environmental science, environmental engineering or similar discipline, preferably with a specialization in Sustainability or LCA
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in LCA/PCF services in consulting, third-party bodies, industry and/or academic contexts
- Good knowledge of LCA/GHG based services and related standards (ISO 14040-14044, UNI EN 15804, ISO 14025, Carbon Footprint of product/service/organization according to ISO 14067, ISO 14064, GHG Protocol).
- Familiarity with LCA databases (e.g., Ecoinvent, etc.)
- Experience with LCA Software; Simapro preferred
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Self-organized; Works independently and on schedule
- Good understanding on these key topics: climate change, resource efficiency, energy, carbon, sustainable materials, and supply chains
- Curious and creative.
- Fluent in English (written and oral)
- A strong interest in sustainability solutions for business
