About Our Client
My client is a leader in the Marine service industry, covering food, supply, service, marine equipment, marine/vessel maintenance, parts, repairs etc.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of General Manager for our Marine Services branch in Singapore. The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director and will play a crucial role in overseeing both strategic and daily operations.Candidates with logistic/supply chain/warehousing with people and P&L management experience are welcome to apply.
Job Description
Demonstrate a keen business acumen to effectively manage the Profit and Loss (P&L) and operational performance of the Singapore branch.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to execute strategic plans, ensuring monthly and quarterly revenue and profit targets are met.
Implement and manage visual dashboards for performance monitoring, optimizing operational efficiency, and achieving bottom-line results.
Oversee companywide projects to meet key deliverables, focusing on resource optimization, cost savings, and improved efficiency.
Coordinate key last-mile functions to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to quality objectives.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, aligning staff and leaders with strategic goals.
Support and drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure effective communication and adherence to company policies throughout the organization.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Undertake ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Managing Director.
The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in a Business, Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistic, or any relevant field is required. An MBA is a plus.
Demonstrated expertise in a general managerial position, specifically emphasizing Marine Services and Supply Chain Logistics.
Robust strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Innovative thinking, coupled with the proficiency to turn visions into actionable plans.
Proven track record of fostering growth and ensuring profitability.
