Calvary Baptist Church seeks to recruit a suitable candidate to join our Staff Team as Director, Family Life Ministry in meeting the growing needs of our church.
Roles and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Pastor in charge of Family Life, you will be one of the key members of the Ministry Team by:
- Providing overall leadership over the different arms of the ministry such as Marriage Preparation, Parenting, and Women Reaching Women.
- Leading the set-up of the counselling ministry in church.
- Working with the different ministry lay leaders in Family Life, provide direction & plan for continual development of the ministries.
- Managing the training & equipping, motivation & succession planning for changeover of all ministry leaders under your care.
- Working with the pastors, support and provide pastoral care for all involved in the ministry.
Requirements
- A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital, growing personal relationship with Him, evidenced by action, attitude, and behaviour.
- Basic degree in theology from an approved seminary or relevant degree. Official training and experience in counselling will be an advantage. Meet biblical qualifications for church leadership.
- Previous work experience in overseeing a Family Life or related ministry in a mid-size church with exposure to recruiting, motivating, equipping and scheduling teams of lay leaders and volunteer workers.

- Work creatively, think strategically, and move ministries forward.
- Practice team-based and servant leadership.
- Maintain familiarity with current Christian education and spiritual development curriculum for family life.
- Possess exceptional written and oral communication and organizational skills.
- Possess working knowledge of social media for communication with youth, parents, and families.
- Able to create and manage a budget.
Salary
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and work experience.
