Responsibilities
- To support assessment of inspect-ability of features on CMM machine, develop CMM programs and instruct CMM measurement method through setup plans to CMM inspectors
- To support CMM Measurement System Analysis (MSA) study to RM13003 requirements and perform CMM inspection of repaired components for FAIR Form 3 documentation
- Work with Manufacturing Engineers and Inspectors to troubleshoot and interpret CMM measurement results.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineers to document measurements and hence condition of components for reporting to OEM or for documentation of acceptance.
- Work with Development Engineers to introduce new process, product and capabilities
- Advise Engineers on design of tooling/fixtures/inspection gages required for CMM inspection on new and existing product.
- To support in automation of inspection process on CMM machine.
- Work with Engineers in automation and digitization Projects with OEM (Rolls Royce) and Research Institute (including but not limited to ARTC) to bring new technology into production
- To Support production in TV request measurement
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Requirements
- Degree in Manufacturing / Mechanical/ Precision Engineering or similar field
- Familiarity with GD&T, PC-DMIS &/or MCOSMOS for CMM programming
- Working knowledge of drafting standards (), symbols, and nomenclature; functional knowledge of material masters and parts lists/BOM
- Good problem-solving skills, takes ownership and hands-on approach
- Problem Solver with strong communication skills
- Interest in manufacturing and programming
- At least 2 years’ experience with CMM programming or similar capacity/ Fresh Graduates and experienced engineers (from non-aviation industry) are welcome too
