Our client is a well established global institutional asset management firm with office located around the world. They focus on investments in public & private debt, equity securities, direct investments in private companies and real estate. Due to expansion plan, they are currently looking for an Assistant Financial Controller in managing their Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong entities in Finance & Accounting matters Description Responsible for monthly Financial Statements and MAS, SFC and FSA financial regulatory monitoring Prepare and coordinate with Compliance on MAS quarterly filings and surveys, including Forms 1 and 2, Income & Expenditure Returns and GST Filings for the Singapore entity and the FRR and other filings for the HK entity Responsible for the Annual Budget and monitoring the Forecast throughout the year Preparation and review of Tax Compliance Assist the Controller in San Francisco in the year-end financial and payroll information for the annual compensation process Evaluate current accounting processes and procedures Assist in the documentation of procedures Liaise with Compliance and third-party consultants on existing regulation and future regulatory developments Co-ordinate with Tax on required Transfer Pricing Studies, including the supporting financial and business risk scenarios Co-ordinate with Compliance on the regulatory capital requirements necessary to meet the various thresholds set by MAS, the SFC, the FSA and other regulations Profile To succeed in this role, you should ideally possess the following: Degree in Finance, Accountancy or relevant disciplines At least 5 years of Audit and commercial experience in Accounting and Finance preferably in a Asset Management Firm Experience with MAS or SFC Licensed investment firms Hands on experience dealing with investment management firms relating to Accounting & Finance Experience with Singapore or Hong Kong regulatory compliance Experience with SAP B1, accounting software and SAP Concur is advantageous Job Offer Our client is a well established asset management firm with a global presence.
