Work with internal (procurement, sales and project team) and external parties (freight forwarders and suppliers) to ensure timely shipment for order fulfilment
- Liaise with freight forwarders to secure freight quotation and booking of shipment
- Co-ordinate with overseas suppliers and freight forwarders on collection and shipment
- Ensure shipment matches Purchase Orders and CIPL
- Update ERP system for all shipment
- Check cargo defects, shortfalls or other issues
- Liaise with supplier on delayed shipment, shortfall and cargo defects
- File insurance claims and co-ordinate surveys for damaged cargo
- Assist with warehouse operations including verification of incoming and outgoing cargo
Support tender and project (ad-hoc basis)
- By way of quotations from forwarders for tender and cost comparison
- Tracking and monitoring of shipment by project
Other Duties
Submit monthly marine insurance reports to Insurance Company
GST declaration vetting
Documentation and filing
Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department
Job Requirements:
· At least 2 years relevant experience in processing import/export shipments and documentation
· Diploma in any field
· Good communication skills, written and verbal
· Proactive, organised, fast learner, team player and meticulous
· Grit and independent - can work with minimal supervision
· Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
