About The Team

The successful candidate will be part of the Global FP&A ("Financial Planning & Analysis") team and will work closely with the leadership team and finance teams both locally and globally, sharing knowledge and actively collaborating to drive continuous performance improvement towards business goals and targets. The FP&A Senior Analyst reports into the CEO office, which operates under the Global Head of Business Operation. The team maintains strong links to other functional leaders across the regions and to the Finance teams.

About The Role

The Financial Analyst position provides you with the opportunity to become a key partner to the business by supporting our key business functions in managing and steering their respective portfolios. You will also be responsible for coordinating the business planning and performance measurement processes, as well as providing ad hoc support and analysis where required. You will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the Annual Budget and Periodic Forecast activities for all business units with the cross-functional team in Homage.

Key tasks of the role include driving periodic OKR exercises across the board, presentation of financial results to key stakeholders; providing substantive and insightful analysis on variances to prior periods and to the budget/targets; monitoring changes in the portfolio and updating stakeholders as appropriate; contributing to improvement and simplification initiatives for the team; champion improvement in finance reporting architecture and framework, and portfolio analysis on an ad-hoc basis.

Key Accountabilities

  • Annual & Quarterly OKR project manager and coordinator
  • Leadership meetings coordinator
  • Support annual business plan and budget modelling & preparation activities
  • Driving quarterly rolling forecast (both operational & financial) modelling, preparation, and review activities to drive towards the overall performance target
  • Perform periodic financial performance review (Actual vs Target & Trend Analysis), monitoring and subsequently presenting an insightful analysis of the financials to senior management / relevant functional leaders; communicating key business trends, underlying performance, and impact of specific investments / experimental projects
  • Actively provide up-to-date info on the development of critical business issues arising from the respective lines of business to ensure timely steering
  • Propose/prepare new/ad hoc analysis to enhance the effectiveness of business analytics and bring value-added analysis to our business partners
  • Review & challenge business assumptions used in annual/periodic business controlling process for the respective lines of business and countries
  • Proactively identify, highlight and suggest solutions on relevant potential issues that may have financial and business implications to the Global Head of Business Operations
  • Develop budget packs driving clear communication of business plans and financial outcomes
  • Consolidation and communication with functional leaders of Homage conveying relevant operating plans, direction, challenges, objectives, etc and progress towards the overall performance targets
  • Champion finance reporting architecture, system and process improvements efforts, enabling meaningful reporting structure to support value-added business analysis
  • Contribute to the improvement of budget and performance review framework
  • Set up and drive implementation of standardised & scalable payment approval flows & SOP
  • Contribute towards simplification initiatives through experience in process efficiency, quality, and controls

About You

  • At least five years of experience in controlling, accounting, or similar experience, ideally in a combination of Big 4 audit and startup environment
  • Degree in Accounting, Actuarial, Business Management or Economics, preferably with a focus on Finance or Accounting
  • Hands-on, able to deal with complexities within a fluid work environment
  • Analytical & meticulous
  • Able to work well under tight deadlines
  • Good project management and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work and communicate in a multicultural organisation in a matrix environment
  • A strong record of client-centric behaviour and mind-set
  • Knowledge of financial reporting will be preferred
  • Fluent in English; other languages a plus
