Role and Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibility is to enhance the sales and profitability of the meat department through effective management of visual merchandising, product range, and shrinkage at the store level. Your expertise in meat products, processing, visual management, and service standards will contribute to creating an exceptional shopping experience for customers.
Product Knowledge:
- Define cuts, specifications, and precision cutting methods.
- Ensure accountability for the freshness of all meat products.
Service Standards:
- Maintain a positive attitude and a service-oriented mindset.
- Proactively engage with customers to drive sales and upselling.
- Interact with shoppers to enhance their overall shopping experience.
Shrinkage Management:
- Implement strategies to control wastage and minimize shrinkage in the meat department.
Team Collaboration:
- Demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration.
- Provide guidance to new hires within the department.
- Conduct training sessions for new hires on essential skills and processes.
Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to HACCP and ISO standards and requirements at all times.
Requirements:
- WSQ Food Safety and Hygiene
- 3 years of relevant experience in a meat-related role.
- Ability to read and understand product labels.
- Proficient in meat preparation techniques and knowledgeable about food safety.
- Willingness to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Service-oriented with a strong emphasis on being a team player.
Work Hours:
- Rotating shifts between 7 am - 3 pm / 3 pm - 11 pm.
- 6 days/week, including weekends and public holidays.
