Brief overview of the role
The Business Development Account Manager will manage a group of existing corporate clients headquartered in Asia and is personally responsible for renewing subscription of Euromonitor’s web-based database and growing revenues across this client base.
In addition, the manager will be responsible for increasing use of our products; promote Euromonitor as a global strategic research partner; proactively build on our understanding of client organisation, strategy and priorities; assist with day-today client queries and training. The successful candidate will have an intelligent and organized approach to client-focused activities, essentially focusing on revenue generation activities, and balancing it with client support and assistance.
The manager will be focused on select industry verticals and is able to engage people at all levels within clients’organization, especially senior executives. This is a proactive, commercially driven role where success is ultimately measured in revenue growth and subscription renewal. He/She must be a confident, self-motivated and collaborative team
player to drive the commercial agenda.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure continued renewal of Euromonitor’s Passport subscription
  • Grow revenue for given territory through upsell/cross-sell of Euromonitor’s services
  • Develop client relationships:
  • Understand client organization, strategies, priorities
  • Grow network of users, Grow usage
  • Successfully convey benefits of Passport and Euromonitor’s methodology
  • Establish Passport as must-have
  • Develop partnership-style relationship
  • Train users face-to-face or via online meetings
  • Provide expert research support to all clients, through detailed understanding of Euromonitor’s product portfolio and research methodology
  • Encourage client’s participation in the virtuous circle to improve quality of data in Passport
  • Collaborate with industry teams to develop product offering to meet the changing needs of our client base and Leverage research and industry expertise into the client base

Skills / Proficiencies required

  • Bachelor’s degree holder,
  • Highly motivated and conscientious professional with a proven track record managing client relationships to deliver incremental revenue in the B2B arena
  • Experienced negotiator
  • Strong networking and communications skills to uncover new opportunities, garner support for Euromonitor’s products with senior executives’ buy-in, and deepen client relationship
  • Tenacious, driven, with good commercial awareness and persuasive skills to close deals
  • Target oriented – ability to meet monthly and annual sales targets Ability to multi-task, balancing proactive commercial activities with reactive client support across given territory
  • Team player with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Oral and written fluency in English
  • High level of numeracy; computer literacy
  • Knowledge of consumer market trends and dynamics preferable
  • Prior experience in B2B business development, or in consumer goods research will be a plus
