My client is a local company is hiring an Operation Manager to join them.
- Responsibilities:
- Oversee fuel farm operations, implementing preventive measures to avoid recurring issues and ensuring fuel quality.
- Review and execute the get well plan, preparing write-off reports or action plans in case of fuel losses.
- Collaborate with worksites to assess demand forecasts, facilitating strategic fuel stock planning.
- Conduct maintenance operations, escalating non-availability of equipment to senior customer management.
- Approve complex maintenance work within financial limits and supervise rectification activities for equipment abnormalities.
- Ensure operational excellence and compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Set direction for new bases/projects, engaging external stakeholders for smooth transition/implementation.
- Develop business continuity plans to mitigate disruptions and drive changes based on quality and safety reports.
- Conduct audits as per schedule, addressing non-compliant findings with external auditors.
- Review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure regulatory compliance and operational team capability.
- Endorse emergency response plans and drive unit compliance with data governance and cybersecurity.
- Manage strategic contractual issues between the operational unit and customers.
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through guidance on organizational transformation projects.
- Challenge units to adopt new business strategies, balancing risks and opportunities for market development.
- Manage career planning and development for Operational Unit employees.
- Collaborate with cross-functional ops teams to optimize resources and enhance operational efficiency.
- Review capital and operating departmental budgets, approving purchase requisitions within financial limits.
- Ensure cost control of overtime and manage the manpower cost rate below the national average.
- Review proposed Scope of Work (SOW) and required resources for effective planning.
- Establish initiatives to improve departmental recruitment and retention rates.
- Liaise with HR for manpower planning and staffing requirements for all worksites.
- Lead the development, communication, and implementation of growth strategies and processes.
- Ensure achievement of sales and cost targets.
Requirements:
- Preferably a degree with operational management skills.
- Prior experience in the aviation industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- For Singaporean only.
