Anywheel is seeking a Chief Technology Officer with an active-oriented mindset and a focus on exceeding expectations, who operates with vision and integrity. The candidate can expect to play an active role in the development and completion of projects, plan and monitor work schedules, and work with multiple and diverse teams to improve Anywheel's app and services.
Some of the responsibilities also include aligning engineering activities and projects with company goals and objectives, providing expert guidance and support, approving newly-developed policies from various departments, and maintaining positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Technical Requirements
- Lead technology and innovation efforts
- Participate in high level technical strategic discussions with the engineering, QA and product departments
- Strong understanding of the SDLC Activities which include Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment and Post-Production Support
- Experience working in an Agile environment, including practices like Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) and Test-Driven Development
- Establishing various best practices for software development (eg. documentation, testing), and encouraging their adoption with the team and organization
- Supporting established organizational objectives by developing goals and strategies
- Participates in cross-functional team meetings to help establish business direction
Additional Requirements
- Degree / Masters in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years of hands-on coding experience, with a proven track record of handling complex engineering projects
- 5+ years of relevant Engineering Management and leadership Experience
- Experience in translating technical concepts into language for audiences, including software engineers, business and technical leaders
- Up-to-date knowledge of the industry
- Has knowledge of system architecture
- Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication
- Strong preference for candidates with significant expertise in one or more of these software stack although you will not be required to code on a day to day basis
