- Assist the Head Bartender in overseeing the bar staff, ensuring they adhere to service standards and policies.
- Provide guidance and support to bartenders, barbacks, and other team members.
- Assume a leadership role in the absence of the Head Bartender.
- Interact with customers, take orders, and deliver a high level of customer service.
- Ensure that all service procedures are carried out to the standards required
- Address customer concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure that the bar staff maintains a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist in managing and controlling the bar inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to minimize waste and prevent shortages.
- Work with the Head Bartender to implement cost control measures.
- Provide ongoing training to existing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of drinks by monitoring preparation methods and recipes.
- Conduct taste tests and quality checks to maintain high standards.
- Collaborate with the Head Bartender to create and update drink menus.
- Other ad-hoc duty as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Knowledge of liquor laws and ensure that they are adhered to all times without fail
- Strong performance management and coaching skills
- At least 3 years of management experience
- Good drinks product knowledge in mixing, garnishing and serving
- Service orientated
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work under pressure and fast paced environment
