Job Description

The National University of Singapore invites applications for Research Assistant for “Mechanistic study of therapy-resistance in gynaeoncology and its clinical application in molecular prognosis and novel therapeutic strategy” in the Department of Biochemistry, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Appointments will be made on a 1-Yr contract basis from Jan 2024, and can be renewed for another two years.


Main duties and responsibilities

The Research Assistant will be able to:

  1. Provide research support to the project in both cellular studies and in vivo mouse study and conduct a research project independently.
  2. Provide administrative duties such as maintenance of safety documents and housekeep of wet laboratory and supervise junior research staff or undergraduate students/interns.
  3. Maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping in accordance with policies and procedures.


Qualifications

  1. Bachelor degree in life science and biomedical degree.
  2. At least 3 years of cancer research experience and able to work independently and in a team, have an investigative nature, attention to detail, demonstration of writing scientific papers with list of relevant publication.
  3. At least 2 years of animal experience in mouse model of cancers and familiar with immune cell profiling of murine tumor models.
  4. Great skills in tissue culture and cellular/molecular biology and protein chemistry basic techniques including Western Blot, viral transfection, q-RT-PCR, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry.
