Job Location: Lai Huat Seafood Restaurant
We seek a skilled and experienced Kitchen Cook to join our company. The ideal candidate is someone who can work under pressure and keep up with the pace in the kitchen. Additionally, he/she must have experience in Chinese zi char cuisine.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items by established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure that all food preparation and cooking activities adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate and expedite orders.
- Monitor and manage kitchen inventory, ensuring that ingredients are consistently stocked.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following proper cleaning and sanitization procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar setting.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Culinary school education is a plus.
- A food handler's certification is required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Working long hours
- Cleaning the whole kitchen and being able to prepare a wide range of seafood such as fish, crab, etc at a fast pace.
