Value Engineering is a systematic method to improve the value of products by examining their function. It focuses on achieving the necessary functions at the lowest possible cost without compromising quality.
Location: Yishun
Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 8am to 5.30pm
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for technical change management in Partner Services Group (PSG) to product end of life
- Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) changes, drive cost improvement by working with Engineering team on product costs
- Organize, conduct Value Analysis and Value Engineering, to ensure design and cost effectiveness
- Verification of Eligible Contract Participant (ECP), in close cooperation with R&D Engineer, Project Manager, Production and Source members.
- Check for optimal feasibility and if necessary, make additions or corrections.
- Responsible for presenting impact of change to Partner Services Group (PSG) with costs, lead-times, scrap risk & forecasted effectivity dates
- Lead product change management and its implementation in SAP/Teamcenter by participating in PSG meetings
Requirements
- Min. Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering
- Working knowledge on Change management or Value Analysis and Value Engineering processes
- Min. 4-5 years’ experience in Supplier Commodity or Sourcing Management, with Engineering related experience
