Job Objectives
• Drive standardization, best practice adoption, and consistency to implement credit scoring related business rules across Credit Origination space
• Take accountability to deliver the scope on-time with high quality. Exercise judgment, take initiative and make decisions.
• Deliver solutions that meet and exceed the functional, non-functional/technical, infrastructure and security requirements
• Lead and collaborate with user SMEs, developers, vendor and testing teams to design and deliver solutions
• Mentor and train technical team members with the potential to grow into Technical Leads
• Be the go-to person for user SME groups for discussion / clarifications regarding all credit scoring related function and technical queries across corporate and business banking credit origination
Key Responsibilities
• Work closely with the BA, user, tester, developer teams.
• Use and manage a team of developers and ensure work assignments for high utilization and effective, quality outcomes while avoiding re-work
• Drive technical innovation to enhance functional and technical capabilities of the IBM ODM (iLOG) rule engine
• Communicate with technical and non-technical resources and work with limited direction while being highly productive
• Apply standards and industry frameworks while leverage existing technologies and tools in the Bank
• Produce detailed design /low level design documents that communicate the system design effectively
• Drive adherence to development, configuration management and deployment standards for solutions
• Manage, address and resolve project-related technical issues in a timely fashion, ensuring necessary escalation and communication to stakeholders as necessary
• Select, train, develop and manage technical team members in a conducive team environment
• Work directly with users on the credit scoring related computation / rules.
Key Requirements
Must have
• Degree with 5+ years of current, hands-on technical IBM ODM experience
• Go getter attitude with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Solid understanding and hands-on knowledge of:
o IBM ODM (iLog) (v8.5 and higher)
o SCM such as SVN and GIT
o Webservices / SoapUI testing
o Java, XML-Schema (XSD), XML, Unix shell scripting
o WebLogic application server
• Experience of complete software development lifecycles – waterfall and agile project experience
• General understanding of banking and knowledge and application of banking technology and specific knowledge of credit scoring related rules / calculations
• Experience on writing Functional specifications / Impact analysis documents.
• Strong oral communication and writing skills
• Strong team building, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Passionate and results orientated
• Banking and financial services experience is necessary.
