We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technology Lead to head our technical team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in overseeing the ongoing development and maintenance of our VB Discovery platform. You will recruit and manage internal and external development resources and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure our platform remains at the forefront of technology and user experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the company's vision and objectives
- Lead the development and maintenance of the VB Discovery platform
- Recruit and manage a team of internal and/or external developers skilled in React, Node, and other relevant technologies while also being able to contribute to coding as well
- Oversee the platform's technical performance, ensuring high availability and optimal performance
- Ensure the platform's architecture is scalable and secure, supporting a growing user base
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance platform functionality and user experience
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, applying this knowledge to drive innovation
Requirements
- Proven experience in a technology leadership role in a startup environment
- Familiar with end-to-end software development cycle, including design, testing, implementation, security audit, and maintenance
- Previous track record of building a large-scale, user-centric online platform using React, Node, and/or other modern web technologies
- Hands-on knowledge of one or more programming languages would be highly preferred
- Excellent understanding of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- BS in Computer Science, MIS or similar field
