Responsibilities:
- Monitor and report on the progress of works
- Carry out inspection of engineering works prior to concreting, subsequent construction work and defects rectification works
- To carry out supervision and inspection of the works as directed by the Supervision QP, CRE,SRE, consultants or Superintending Officer
- To manage and supervise the Resident Technical Officer under his charge
- Ensure records of all engineering works including records of tests, defect rectification, inspections, work progress, material and equipment on site, safety, etc, are timely updated and properly kept
- Attending site, progress, variation and coordination meetings
- Verifying all reports and claims submitted by the contractors
Requirements:
- Possess degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering from a recognized university by PE Board Singapore
- Registered Resident Engineer with the Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) of the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES)
- Minimum 10 years' experience in supervision of institutional development with strong knowledge in civil engineering work, bored piling, structural steel and reinforced concrete construction
- Must be familiar with local regulations/ codes for civil & structural related to building projects
- A good team player and experience in leading a team of Resident Technical Officers
- Strong ability to interpret the Contract documents and drawings on the works to be carried out
- Ability to resolve site and technical issues, prepare and document detailed site progress reports
- Good knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Possess effective communication skills and able to interact with people at all levels
