- Resident Technical Officer (Civil & Structural)
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent from Singapore Polytechnic or other tertiary institutions of equivalent standing;
- Registered as Resident Technical Officer with BCA/IES/ ACES; and
- National Certificate on Construction Supervision from BCA Academy or equivalent.
- Undertake all or part of the duties and responsibilities of the SRE / RE / RA as instructed by JTC’s appointed project manager in consultation with the project consultants if no SRE / RE / RA is appointed for the project.
- Review all project drawings and specifications and raise any discrepancies and/or possible problems before construction work commences on site and progressively throughout the entire course of the project.
- Supervise the construction and related works, maintain quality control, and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the project specifications, drawings, approved sketches, product or system specifications, contractor’s method statements, installation and working procedures, and site instructions supervising Qualified Persons and project consultants.
- Liaise with the supervising Qualified Persons and their engineers/architects/specialists on the review and approval of revised designs, amended drawings, specialist drawings, sketches, etc.
- Verify progress payment claims, all other claims, and reports submitted by the contractors.
- Keep and review records of works including materials, samples, site equipment, inspections, and test reports and ensure proper documentation.
- Check the quality of materials delivered to the sites and report as directed, any materials that do not conform to the specifications.
- Check that Environmental, Health, and Safety matters on the sites are properly managed by the contractors and comply with the legislation.
- Attend all project meetings, site, progress, and design/technical meetings as required, site demonstrations, witness testing, and commissioning, and keep proper minutes or notes of these meetings as directed.
