Sports Physician Assistant

1. Patient and Physician Assistance, including:

  • Provide information to patients about clinic procedures and recommended treatment plans.
  • Patients’ registration and verification of insurance coverage.
  • Schedule and manage appointments and treatment follow up.
  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms, proper equipment setup, and availability of supplies.
  • Assist Sports Physician during patient examinations or minor medical procedures.
  • Act as the point of contact between the Physician and internal/external clients.
  • Produce reports, presentations, and briefs.

2. Administrative Support, including:

  • Maintain and organize patient records, including medical history, personal information, and billing details.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and filing of medical records and other administrative documents.
  • Assist in handling patient billing, insurance claims, and payment processing.
  • Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers or specialists as necessary.
  • Coordinate and schedule diagnostic tests, surgeries, or medical procedures for patients.
  • Collaborate with external parties such as laboratories, pharmacies, and insurance companies, as necessary.
  • Manage and stock office supplies, maintain inventory, and place orders when needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the reception area, waiting room, and administrative areas.
  • Follow proper infection control protocols and assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Sports & Exercise Science, or equivalent
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Prior clinic experience & knowledge of Plato will be an advantage
  • 5.5 days work week
