Hospital Office For Protection Of Employee Executive

Highlights:

  • You will support the Manager in post-incident management of staff abuse and harassment cases, ensuring staff receives adequate support and assistance and the case is being followed through with the relevant parties and develop and implement policies and initiatives to meet the hospital’s objectives of prevention and response to workplace abuse and harassment against all members of our workplace.

The Challenges:


Post-incident Management of Staff Abuse and Harassment Cases

To assist the Manager to:


  • Triage and manage cases of staff abuse and harassment, ensuring staff receives adequate support and assistance, case is seen through with the relevant parties, and there is appropriate and timely close-loop communication with the staff
  • Manage and monitor staff abuse and harassment data, ensuring that all cases are being tracked, followed up and documented accurately in the system
  • Collate and generate staff abuse and harassment statistics (e.g. KPIs) for reporting to Office, Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council, MOH and/or NHG
  • Develop and implement operational workflow or processes to support the end-to-end post-incident management of cases
  • Manage queries from staff-on-staff protection policies, protocols or measures


Policies Development and Implementation


To assist the Manager in:


  • Develop and operationalise staff protection policies and procedures in areas such as (a) training and education for staff, (b) staff engagement efforts to raise awareness and (c) reporting and monitoring
  • Perform analysis of staff abuse and harassment data to inform decision-making (e.g. identification of high risk areas, evaluate effectiveness of controls/measures implemented to mitigate risks identified)
  • Prepare projection of capital expenditure/manpower resourcing of the Office and put up justification for any spending request(s), if necessary

Secretariat Duties

  • Provide Secretariat support for Workplace Safety and Health Council meetings. This includes organising meeting, writing meeting minutes and following up on meeting action points.


General

  • Accountable for ensuring accuracy, quality and timeliness of any work assigned
  • Participate in hospital-level projects and workgroups
  • Participate in emergency planning exercise and render support in any hospital emergency or incidents when required
  • Assist to carry out any other duties as assigned by Reporting Officer


What it Takes:


  • Bachelor’s degree and above, preferably in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant working experience , preferably in healthcare industry
  • Knowledge and experience in case management preferred
  • Good communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Good people and stakeholder management skills, across organizational functions and hierarchy
  • Critical thinker who is analytical, meticulous and process-oriented
