JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Network and Security Management
- Maintaining and administering computer networks in PRD and DR sites
- Manage network devices: Core Switch, Router, Firewall, Network Monitoring System, Wireless, Remote Access
- Configuration, installation, maintenance and life cycles planning of various network devices and services
- Monitoring network performance and ensuring reliability and availability
- Experience in log review, log monitoring, firewall rule review
- Monitors and assesses overall health functionality of security systems and equipment
- Provide technical support and advice on all hardware and software in the network environment
- Supervise and provide vendor management for external contractors
- Manage the problem resolution process with maintenance support vendor on operational matters as well as troubleshooting and resolution of network related problems
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks
- Conduct IT security awareness training for all staff
2. Operations & Maintenance Management
- Perform daily IT operational and disaster center operational tasks
- Provide operations support for user inquiries and issues via email and phone
- Perform house-keeping tasks (i.e. backup, and optimization) and maintaining network user accounts
- Direct and coordinate troubleshooting and root cause analysis and make recommendations to the current procedure for hardware, software, and other network and system problems
- Implement an integrated mechanism for IT inquiries, call handling, logging and escalation for IT issues and assignment
- Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups when required
- Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures
- Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring virus protection software and email applications when required
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant IT related discipline
- Minimum 5 years working experience with 1-2 years’ experience in a banking and financial services
- Familiar with MAS Notice 655(Cyber Hygiene Practices) would be a plus
- Experience with routers, switches and firewall, i.e. Cisco, Huawei, Palo Alto, and Checkpoint etc
- Knowledge and experience in using Network Management System, i.e. Nagios etc. would be a plus
- Knowledge and experience in Virtualization Infrastructure, i.e. VMware etc. would be a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP/HCNA/HCNP or equivalent level in networking is an advantage
- Language proficiency in English and Chinese as the candidate will be working closely with Chinese colleagues in Head Office
