The Software Engineer works closely with the development team who are working with the areas of application development such as database administrators, ETL developers, BI analyst and integrators. Task is to ensure all the functionalities required by users are developed, maintained, monitored, and continuously improved to higher quality standards. Being an application developer, he/she should mainly focus on software development life cycle (SDLC), continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD), build, release and designing prototypes (UI / UX). The role may require to work with performance testing, quality assurance (QA) and documentation.
- May require performing on continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD). Design prototype for UI/UX.
- Coordinate with database analyst for building database, relationships, schema and setting up required database infrastructure and permission.
- Communicate task and product backlogs development timelines with application developer peers in Hong Kong and other regional offices.
- Participate in daily scrum or daily standup. Assists in the development needed for API and integration scripts.
- Participate in requirements gathering and design specifications. Maintain and works on a centralized or distributed source control.
- Develop and update technical documentation to support internal as well as external audits.
- Participate in code-review and source code conflict resolution with development peers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related discipline required.
- Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in an enterprise web application and API development both front-end (JavaScript / Angular / jQuery / Bootstrap / HTML / CSS) and back-end .Net Core MVC / .Net Framework stack.
- Experience in serverless technology stack (Azure functions and AWS lambda) is an advantage.
- Working experience in market standard data interfaces (JSON, XML, CSV).
- Hands-on experience in MS SQL Database (T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and normalization / ER).
- Experience with centralized source control environment using Azure DevOps. Working experience with GitHub will be considered.
- Working with Scrum / Agile development life cycle and methodology.
