Maker Lab

Maker Lab company logo

Grounded in a talent-centric mindset, Maker Lab is a marketing agency designed to build decentralised technology-led agency teams, rooted in collaboration with clients from the ground up. Maker Lab’s cross-functional teams of multidisciplinary specialists are embedded into client teams across digital marketing competencies — from measurement & analytics to content production.

Talent Engagement / Community Manager

Maker Lab has seen massive growth over the past year, and as we continue to scale the business across different markets and regions, we foresee even more growth.  As the Talent Engagement Manager / Community Manager, you will elevate our employees’ journeys with us.  The role will see you engage with our existing employees, channel their feedback to the business leads, partner with them in helping them achieve their goals, and create a relevant calendar of social events to bring them together.

The role doesn’t stop with our existing employees. We’ve had talent engage with us for opportunities, and this role will see you nurture those relationships and allow them to be at the forefront of opportunities as soon as they become available.

In this role, you will partner with the larger Talent and HR team and work closely with the business teams to create meaningful opportunities and programmes for our current and future employees.

Role:

  • Develop the Maker Lab community/engagement strategy as aligned with the company’s mission and vision
  • Lead the execution of the initiatives — from resource planning to performance analyses
  • Deliver strategic and commercially viable business recommendations based on learnings
  • Act as the primary point of contact for community engagement across all the markets we operate in
  • Keep up to date with best practices and industry trends to identify opportunities for enhancing the Maker Lab talent community and experience, especially in the areas of health, wellness and wellbeing, travel, etc
  • Create a calendar of events that cater to different interests
  • Create compelling newsletters to attract aware candidates to apply and continue to be interested in the company and opportunities

You:

  • 6+ years of experience in talent engagement, marketing or social media. Working in a media, marketing or advertising agency is a huge plus!
  • A strategic thinker, an articulate communicator and a focused doer
  • Marketer with a passion for employee journey and innovation
  • Experience working with vendors, being the primary POC for vendor relationships
  • A passion for people enablement, travel, health and wellness/wellbeing
  • Proven success in building networks and/or influencing communities
  • Strong understanding of community-building theories and practices
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills

Please note: due to the high volume of applications, only successful candidates will be contacted with a follow-up introduction email.  If you do not receive an email from Maker Lab, your application has been unsuccessful this time around. Look out for future roles! By submitting your application, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your data by the Maker Lab team for the purposes of your application. Where your application contains personal data of third parties, you confirm that you have obtained all necessary consents to provide the Maker Lab team with such personal data and that we may collect, use and/or disclose such data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.
