Join our client's dynamic team as a Procurement Manager, based in the vibrant city of Singapore. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for supervising all procurement activities to ensure a seamless and cost-effective procurement process, while also maintaining a strong and resilient supply chain. Your leadership is vital in guiding a team of procurement professionals toward achieving strategic business objectives, with an emphasis on streamlining operations and cultivating positive supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Craft and implement a procurement strategy that is in line with our client's objectives and financial plans.
  • Anticipate procurement needs, assess potential risks, and develop effective contingency plans.
  • Select and oversee suppliers based on their quality, dependability, and value.
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with key suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of suppliers to ensure compliance with contracts and service quality.
  • Improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
  • Establish and enforce procurement standards, practices, and policies.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulations and uphold ethical procurement practices.
  • Manage procurement budgets in accordance with fiscal objectives.
  • Drive cost reductions through strategic negotiations and optimizing contracts.
  • Lead and develop the procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and professional development.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align procurement strategies with their requirements.
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration to enhance the value of procurement.
  • Assess risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Stay informed about global market trends and industry shifts that impact procurement.
  • Utilize data analysis to inform decision-making and improve procurement performance.
  • Provide senior management with reports on procurement metrics, savings, and supplier performance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in procurement management, with at least 10 years in a leadership position.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing procurement strategies and achieving cost reductions.
  • Extensive knowledge of best practices in procurement, supply chain management, and contract negotiations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities with prior experience managing diverse teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant procurement software and technology.
  • Competitive monthly salary of 8,000 to 12,000 SGD.
