The upcoming Eastern General Hospital (EGH) aspires to provide excellent, patient-centred care and to improve the health of the population in the east of Singapore. We aim to develop future-ready systems to support patients’ healthcare journeys and to be an employer of choice for our staff.
You will support the Development Secretariat and Hospital Planning Committee (HPC) to set up the Biomedical Engineering (BME) department and ensure project execution, budget and quality of the development are in accordance with the established programme. This will include end-user briefings, operations requirements, systems design with technology partners, establish guidelines and project timelines. You will lead in the development and review of related policies and procedures to ensure compliance against regulatory framework. In addition, you will ensure optimal utilisation of financial and manpower resources and liaise with key stakeholders on procurement requirements for the projects. You will also support, participate and lead in BME cluster shared service key initiatives and workgroups.
Requirements
- Recognised degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering or related fields
- Minimum 12 years of related work experience in hospital operations, preferably in a healthcare sector
- Knowledge and skill in design thinking, change management, project management, technology adoption and process methodologies
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage various stakeholders in a fluid environment and a growing organisation
- Team player, highly motivated and action-oriented with excellent planning, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Able to work under pressure, adapt to change and manage challenges
- Familiar with Autocad, Photoshop and presentation software
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
