As an APAC Payroll Specialist at FNZ, you'll oversee and advise on payroll operations across multiple offices in Singapore, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, and Hong Kong. Your primary responsibility will involve managing payroll processes, ensuring their accuracy and efficiency. Additionally, you'll spearhead payroll-related projects and deliver timely, precise reporting to support crucial business decisions. This role demands a keen eye for detail, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to navigate complex payroll systems within diverse cultural and regulatory landscapes across the Asia-Pacific region.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Process monthly payroll, including end-of-year tasks and audit requirements - Experience using Workday is preferable although full system training can be provided.
• Address employee inquiries related to tax, payroll, leave, and superannuation.
• Communicate with employees and stakeholders to gather necessary information and approvals for payroll processing.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance Business Partners for payroll review, approval, and related queries.
• Maintain accuracy in HRIS (Workday) and other HR systems for payroll-related actions.
• Generate precise reports on HR processes, such as absence levels, pay information, headcount, turnover, and monthly vacancy reports.
• Handle payroll audits, reviews, and special projects, including historical pay investigations.
• Stay informed about legislation changes and ensure compliance across all payroll locations.
• Manage adjustments in accordance with the Holiday Pay Act.
• Provide HR metrics to support business planning, focusing on attrition, absence, retention, and engagement trends, and proposing solutions for improvement.
What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate?
• Demonstrable strong knowledge and experience in Asia payroll administration, emphasizing payment and deduction processing while handling sensitive data.
• Proficient in IT skills, ideally with prior experience in Workday or similar payroll systems, ensuring adeptness in system operations.
• Exceptional organizational abilities, detail-oriented mindset, and adeptness at working within tight deadlines.
• Understanding of the significance of global payroll within an organization, leveraging expertise to uphold international excellence.
• Ability to work effectively within a supportive and friendly team environment, contributing to collective efforts aimed at maintaining effective, up-to-date, and compliant processes.
• Detail-oriented mindset ensuring accuracy and timeliness in Workday-related payroll processes to guarantee precise and timely pay for employees.
• Prior experience ensuring international compliance in payroll processes, aiming to uphold world-class standards in service delivery.
• Being business proficient in the Chinese language would be advantageous.
