Main Roles and Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of assigned workshop(s) and ensure optimal functionality
2. Provide technical supervision and guidance on operating specialized machinery, equipment for constructing, producing scaled and full-scaled prototypes as well as student projects
3. Conduct induction classes on safe operations of workshop machinery and facilities regulations
4. Maintain good housekeeping, safe storage of chemicals, raw ingredients, inventory in workshops and monitor usage and loan of equipment to users
5. Support in the budget forecast for workshop and faculty
6. Perform other ad hoc duties as required and assigned by the Associate Dean
Requirements
1. Minimum qualifications of Diploma in related discipline
2. At least 5 years of relevant working experience
3. Must be workshop trained and possess 3D practical prototype making skills
4. Must be comfortable working in a workshop space
5. Good working knowledge of materials such as wood, metal or digital printing and other any manufacturing techniques
6. Proficient with software skills especially in AutoCad, Rhinoceros, Corel Draw and Illustrator
7. A team player with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and guide students
