Responsibilities:
- Develop, customize, and maintain GIS applications and tools to meet project requirements.
- Design, optimize, and manage geospatial databases, ensuring data integrity and efficient access.
- Conduct spatial analysis, perform geoprocessing tasks, and create spatial models to derive actionable insights.
- Integrate GIS solutions with other systems, databases, and applications to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability.
- Develop and maintain web-based GIS applications and services using APIs and web mapping libraries.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and user manuals for GIS applications and systems.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, provide technical support, and offer training to users as needed.
- Keep abreast of emerging GIS technologies, tools, and trends, and evaluate their potential for implementation.
Requirements:
- Have minimum 5+ years of experience in Administering and Managing Microsoft SQL Server.
- Possess good knowledge in GIS and expert at setting up enterprise geo-database in Microsoft SQL Server.
- High proficiency in ArcGIS Pro usage with connectivity to enterprise Microsoft SQL Server Geodatabase
- Extensive experience in data migration activities and its planning.
- Skilled at preparing plan and architecture with supporting documents to setup and install Microsoft SQL Server along with enterprise geodatabase setup.
- Good at both SQL Server Authentication and OS Authentication concepts and help the team with required scripts for application development
- Expert at resolving SQL Server Performance Issues and assist with required geodatabase DB Tune parameters
- Good knowledge on transactional replication and GIS distributed versioned editing concepts
- Assist the Application Development staff by developing efficient SQL code to access and manipulate database objects as projected in functional requirement.
- Administer database security and maintains logins
- Communicate with client and ensure sign-off for Microsoft SQL Server tasks
- Knowledge and experience in ArcGIS Pro SDK development using .Net C# would be an added advantage.
- Good at troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.
