Our client, a leading medical devices manufacturer, is looking for suitable talents to join their growing business as an IT Support Engineer.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform daily reviews of system backups for the local site, operating servers, and network equipment, and document the findings.
- Assist network administrators in troubleshooting network connectivity, server, and VOIP issues. Additionally, support in maintaining accurate Active Directory entries for desktops.
- Provide support for the Office Suite, Outlook email applications on desktops, and other company-endorsed desktop and mobile applications.
- Resolve hardware and software issues pertaining to desktop and mobile devices.
- Provide support for production and office peripherals as required.
- Work closely with Operational Technology (OT) teams to understand system requirements and integration points.
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of OT systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the convergence of IT and OT technologies.
- Manage Configuration Items (CI) in the Computer Management Database (CMDB).
- Manage incident and service tickets in ServiceNow.
- Manage critical incidents and handle escalations in a professional manner.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) while defining and implementing measures to optimize performance.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams (including IT Infrastructure and Digital HUB) to implement various IT and Digital solutions in Singapore and Malaysia.
- Actively engage with clients to comprehend their needs and advocate for IT solutions.
- Cascade IT communications to IT users at the local sites.
- Gather feedback from local management and users on IT services and provide insights to the leadership team for ongoing improvement of IT services.
- Continuously monitor operations and proactively develop enhancements to improve the overall user experience.
- Offer solutions and ideas for improvement and optimization.
- Plan and implement IT rollout projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Studies/Information Technology
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in Information Technology
- Familiarity with ITIL processes
- Technical certifications are advantageous.
- Proficient in the following:
*Microsoft Office 365, One Drive, SharePoint.
*Basic apps available on mobile devices, and setup on mobile devices.
*Latest version of Windows.
*Basic configuration of PCs and laptops.
*Overall LAN/WAN concepts including DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, ADS, and knowledge of remote access technologies.
*Server and Windows Professional and/or latest version.
- Technical knowledge of client endpoint devices and printers, software & hardware configuration troubleshooting, and follow-up.
- Desired knowledge in the field of Industry 4.0/IOT.
- Experience in connecting shopfloor machines to IoT platforms is a plus.
